I’m a photojournalist….or was until I became primarily a wedding photographer. I specialize in capturing the little moments you may not have even realized happened. There is a little somethin’ somethin’ that makes every couple tick. There is a story that needs to be told. My photos capture a sequence of events that make up your day. You won’t find a disc of photos that seem different from each other. They are complimentary, uniform and unique. I’m also a lot of fun to be around on your day.
One of the most popular questions I’m asked is how I got started in photography. I used to be a newspaper editor. Photojournalism was one of my favourite aspects of the business. My photos have been published around the world in countless magazines and newspapers. Then, I decided to do the Ride to Conquer Cancer – a 200km bike ride that I had to raise $2,500 in order to participate in. I decided to sell portrait packages to raise the funds. My photography has evolved immensely since then, but it was a pivotal moment in starting the journey I am on. Since those early days a few years ago, I’ve photographed hundreds and hundreds of people and now specialize in weddings. I’ve loved every moment that it’s taken to get to where I am today.
I’m a multiple award-winning photographer and photojournalist and am an observer member of the Professional Photographers of Canada Association.
High River, AB is home for my husband, baby daughter and I. I was a bride myself in April 2010.
